Welcome to 17th IHPC

International Heat Pipe Conferences (IHPC) series started in the year 1973, at Stuttgart, Germany, with specific focus on topics related to science, technology and applications of heat pipes, thermosyphons and related passive phase-change heat transfer devices/systems. The last forty years have seen phenomenal technological growth and market penetration of heat pipe systems. The past 16 uninterrupted IHPC editions have diligently reflected this extraordinary progress. Today IHP conferences are the established primary knowledge repository of this art.

Commemorating forty years of successful organization of the International Heat Pipe Conference series, the 17th jubilee edition will be held in the campus of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur (UP), India, during October 13 to 17, 2013. The conference is being organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, under the coordination of the Committee on International Heat Pipe Conferences and the local/national organization and advisory committees. The aim of the conference is to bring together experts, students, practicing engineers and industry representatives from across the world on a common platform to share state-of-the-art information, experiences and latest developments on the science and technology of all kinds of heat pipes and passive phase-change devices and thermal systems.

The Abstract Submission deadline for ICCE 2014 has been extended to October 30, 2013.



International Conference on Clean Energy 2014 (ICCE-2014) (www.icce2014.net) will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 8-12, 2014. As the conference chairman, it is a great honour for me to make an open invitation for this conference. I am extremely happy that we will have an opportunity to show you the cordial Turkish hospitality and the stunning natural beauty of Istanbul. I am planning to provide luncheons, banquet, reception and other exciting social events where the participants will have an ample opportunity to interact with each other and make a historical turnout and gathering.



Since 1977, Prof. Veziroglu at the Clean Energy Research Institute (CERI) , University of Miami, successfully organized nine International Conferences on Alternative Energy Source, and in 2009, Dr. Veziroglu and his colleague Dr. H. Liu continued the series with the 10th International Conference on Clean Energy (ICCE 2010), held at Famagusta, North Cyprus. In 2011, the 11th conference (ICCE 2011) was held at Taichung, Taiwan, the 12th International Conference of Clean Energy (ICCE 2012) was held in Xi'an in China, October 26-30, 2012. The next ICCE will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, June 8-12, 2014, and we assure you that it will be a more successful and fruitful one.



ICCE-2014 will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and several specialized sessions on different topics related to clean energy. Industry participation is very welcomed, and we hope that the conference will lead to effective and fruitful communication between the research, government, and industrial communities. I hope that you will find the next conference, ICCE-2014, both enjoyable and valuable, and also enjoy the architectural, historical, cultural and natural beauty of Istanbul, Turkey.

IX Minsk International Seminar “Heat Pipes, Heat Pumps, Refrigerators, Power Sources"(7-10 September 2015) successfully completed!
The conference was attended by 110 scientists and experts from 21 countries and included 16 keynote lectures and 74 oral and poster reports. During the conference were considered such important topics as modern achievements in the field of heat pipes, heat pumps, heat exchangers and sorption technologies, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, their practical application.

We hope that exchange of information and discussion of topical scientific and technical problems at the seminar were actual and useful.

Уважаемые коллеги!

9-й Минский международный семинар «Тепловые трубы, тепловые насосы, холодильники, источники энергии», 7-10 сентября 2015 года успешно завершен!
В конференции приняло участие 110 учёных и специалистов из 21 государства. Было представлено 16 лекций, 74 устных и стендовых докладов, в которых были рассмотрены современные достижения в области тепловых труб, тепловых насосов, теплообменных и сорбционных технологий, энергосберегающих систем нагрева и охлаждения и возможности их практического применения.


Надеемся, что обмен информацией и обсуждение актуальных научных и технических проблем было актуальным и полезным.

Heat Powered Cycles Conference
Nottingham University, UK, 28 - 30 June 2016
This is the seventh Heat Powered Cycles conference to be organised. This time the event is co-organised by the Universities of Nottingham and Bristol. The conference is to be held at the University of Nottingham and hosted by the HVASCR & Heat Transfer Group. In addition to formal presentations of technical papers, including invited Keynote papers, the event will include poster sessions and workshops. There will also be a full social programme for both delegates and accompanying partners.

The conference is concerned with scientific and technological innovations relating to the efficient and economic use of heat, derived from all its sources, for the production of cooling, heating and mechanical power either independently or co-generatively. Subject areas of particular interest include; hybrid cycles, ORCs, Stirling cycle machines, thermo-acoustic engines and coolers, sorption cycle refrigerators and heat pumps, jet-pump (ejector) machines, temperature amplifiers (heat transformers), chemical heat pumps, new working fluids, mass and heat transfer phenomena desalination of brackish water and seawater, compact heat exchanger research (including foams and other micro-channel research), thermo-economics, process optimisation and modelling, process and cycle thermodynamics.

Душанбе на базе Филиала НИУ «МЭИ» в г.Душанбе проводят десятую Международную теплофизическую школу (МТФШ-10) на тему «Теплофизические исследования и измерения при контроле качества веществ, материалов и изделий».
Целью теплофизической школы является создание условий, при которых заслуженные ученые могут передать накопленные знания молодому поколению ученых и специалистов.
